Let me start by saying I am not yet a mom myself, however, I have a niece and I have a nephew who I watch regularly. With that disclaimer being said, I know that getting up in the morning with kids running around the house makes getting ready and putting on makeup a difficult task. For all the busy moms out there, I have put together my 4 must have products that make getting ready in the morning as easy and beautiful as can be!
Starting from the upper left there is my all time favorite oil-free tinted moisturizer. I was never much of a tinted moisturizer girl, however, I have realized, even being a makeup artist, sometimes I just want to go all natural with less makeup. This Laura Mercier Oil-Free Tinted Moisturizer is a lightweight, beautiful and smooth product that goes on in the morning and lasts all day. Apply it with your favorite foundation brush to get that all round dewy coverage.
Next, NARS Radiant Creamy concealer. This concealer comes in wand form, making it easy to apply. I love to dab a few dots under my eyes in a “v” shape, starting from the inner corner of my eye, dragging down, and up towards the outer edge of my eye. This easy technique gives that “Kim K” bright glow under the eyes everyone longs for. With concealer, I love patting it into place with my ring finger, or even a sponge, that way it sets, sits and gives the coverage I want.
To the bottom there is the MAC Mineralize Blush. This blush is so soft, natural and gives just the perfect amount of pigment with the right highlight and glow to make the cheeks stand out. You can’t leave the house without a little blush, it just makes you look alive! Apply this with a fluffy blush brush starting from the apples of your cheeks and softly blending out towards the hair line.
Last, but certainly not least, the one product I have stayed true to since I started applying makeup eons ago. Lancome Hypnose Drama mascara! I can honestly say I can leave the house without anything else but a couple coats of this and still feel good. This mascara gives drama, lengthens, thickens and gives your eyes just what it needs to look fresh and glamorous. I am always finding new ways to apply my mascara but recently I start heavily coating the outer corner lashes and softly brush a couple coats towards the center.
There you have it! My top 4 “mommy must haves”!
